Scope and Topics
International Conference on Mobile Networks, Applications and Services (MONAMI 2024) : Building connections between smart cities and smart Grids. In recent years, the development of wireless communications, networks and cloud computing has paved the way for the convergence of smart grids and smart cities, which has great potential to create a sustainable environment, optimize energy use and improve the quality of life of urban residents. With the widespread deployment of 5G technology and the development of multi-access networks, the quality of service (QoS) of wireless access networks has been significantly improved. The application of software-defined networking (SDN), Network Function Virtualization (NFV), and information-centric networking (ICN) technologies has significantly reduced costs for network service providers and significantly improved the end-user experience. The booming development of mobile devices and mobile cloud computing, as well as the application of advanced algorithms such as deep learning, have brought new perspectives on resource allocation and service orchestration, providing rich opportunities for the realization of future mobile computing systems. Smart grids utilize wireless communication and networking technologies to enable real-time data exchange between utility providers, consumers, and distributed energy sources. By integrating renewable energy, storage systems, and demand response mechanisms, smart grids improve energy efficiency, reliability, and sustainability. Smart cities use information and communication technologies (ICTs) to improve all aspects of urban life, including transportation, healthcare, public safety and resource management. By leveraging technologies such as data analytics, cloud computing and artificial intelligence, the convergence of smart grids and smart cities creates synergies, optimizes resource allocation and improves overall energy resilience for a sustainable future. The future focus should be on developing blockchain technology to improve the security and trust of energy transactions in smart grids and smart cities. In addition, the application of edge computing and fog computing can improve the responsiveness and latency requirements of energy management systems. In addition, the integration of 5G and satellite technology can enhance global connectivity and promote the deployment of smart grids and smart cities in remote areas.Ntegrated AI, Sensing and Communications are two key usage scenarios that distinguish 6G from previous generations of connectivity-centric wireless systems. These new usage scenarios enable 6G to go beyond communication. The recently completed ITU-R 6G framework has endorsed this vision, demonstrating the industry’s consensus towards this direction. Focusing on the core themes of intelligence, grid integration and urban development, MONAMI 2024 will explore how the deep integration of these technologies can be translated into practical solutions for efficient and sustainable urban ecosystems.

Paper Submission
Papers should be submitted through EAI ‘Confy+‘ system, and have to comply with the Springer format (see Author’s kit section).
- Regular papers should be up to 12-16 pages in length.
- Short papers should be 6-11 pages in length.
All conference papers undergo a thorough peer review process prior to the final decision and publication. This process is facilitated by experts in the Technical Program Committee during a dedicated conference period. Standard peer review is enhanced by EAI Community Review which allows EAI members to bid to review specific papers. All review assignments are ultimately decided by the responsible Technical Program Committee Members while the Technical Program Committee Chair is responsible for the final acceptance selection. You can learn more about Community Review here.
- Go to Confy+ website
- Login or sign up as new user
- Select your desired Track
- Click the ‘Submit Paper’ link within the track and follow the instructions
Alternatively, go to home page of Confy+ and click on “Open conferences”.
- All papers must be submitted in English.
- Previously published work may not be submitted, nor may the work be concurrently submitted to any other conference or journal. Such papers will be rejected without review.
- The paper submissions must follow the Springer formatting guidelines (see Author’s kit section below).
- Read the Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement.
Author’s kit – Instructions and Templates (SPRINGER)
Papers must be formatted using the Springer LNICST/ EASICC Authors’ Kit.
Instructions and templates are available from Springer’s LNICST homepage:
Please make sure that your paper adheres to the format as specified in the instructions and templates.
When uploading the camera-ready copy of your paper, please be sure to upload both:
