Workshop on Enabling Real-time Edge Data Analytics through Edge Device Cloud for Intelligent Applications
Scope:
The device ecosystem is growing rapidly these days. Besides, the volume, the variety and value of devices are simply mesmerizing. Due to continuous innovations in the device landscape and the faster stability and maturity of a bevy of enabling technologies, we have been hearing about, reading, and even experiencing scores of state-of-the-art devices. In short, our everyday devices are accordingly instrumented, systematically interconnected and artistically intelligent to be convenient and relevant for us.
With the faster adoption of edge technologies such as single board computers (SBCs), programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robots, drones, advanced processors (GPUs, TPUs, FPGAs, etc.), microchips, path-breaking actuators, minuscule sensors, tags, codes, stickers and controllers, illuminating beacons, LEDs, etc., all kinds of physical, mechanical, electrical and electronics systems in our everyday environments are empowered technologically to join in the mainstream computing.
Precisely speaking, the edge era is all set to dawn on us in a dramatic and decisive way. Having understood the profound significance of edge/fog devices for realizing deeper automation and augmentation in setting up and sustaining next-generation business and people-centric applications, we have methodically designed and developed a highly reliable, robust and versatile edge applications development and deployment platform. The distinct trait and tenet of this edge platform is the usage of microservices architecture (MSA), event-driven architecture (EDA), containerization, orchestration platforms, in-memory databases, etc. Topics of interests include:
- The Explosion of IoT Devices
- Next-Generation IoT Devices Applications and Services
- Edge/Fog Computing
- Serverless Computing at Edge
- Edge device clouds/clusters
- Platforms for Edge Computing
- IoT Device Gateways
- 5G Communication for Sophisticated IoT Applications
- Edge device data analytics (Fast and Streaming Analytics)
